Many of you know that I spend a fair amount of weekends treating National Guard soldiers. I am privileged to work with an outstanding team of dentists, physicians, auxiliary personnel, and administrators. Our dental team is charged with providing soldiers with triage and very basic dental services. Our mission is to free our heroes of any condition which could lead to needless pain and suffering, especially if they are deployed overseas to defend our nation.

I cringe when I see advice from so-called experts on dental things you can do yourself. Please don’t do DIY dentistry- you WILL hurt yourself. Use your dentist’s care. skill, and judgment for your betterment. That’s what we trained for!
Tobacco is dangerous in any form. Is it really worth the risk of disfiguring, disabling, and deadly disease? If you smoke, dip, or even vape, please stop. If you can’t stop, get help. Save your own life because you are worth it!!
